INSULTED, FORCED TO WALKAccording to the story told by thegirls, the young men driving a smallsedan invited them to take a little spinout in the country. Thinking nothingof the proposal they accepted and the car started toward Taunton. When a lonely section of the country had been reached, both girls say, the car was stopped and improper advances were made by their companions. “We were given the alternative of complying or making our way home as best we could and chose the latter/' they stated. Both girls are of more than the ordinary type of beauty.Although severral miles from habitation, the girls started to walk toward Brockton, while the auto containing their late escorts sped away in the darkness towards Taunton. Half an hour later as the girls were along the road through Raynham, a car coming from Taunton drew up inquired if they we!-e going to Brockton. Tired and footsore the girls ily complied, they said, but after they were seated, discovered to their dismay the same pair who had deserted them. The girls said the men promised to take them home without furthdr insults.Injured as Cars CollideThe car started at a high rate of speed toward Brockton. At the junction of Raynham and the Easton line, the car containing the two girls and their escorts crashed into an auto owned by Wrn. O. Simmons of 127 Phillips street, Quincy. Both girls were thrown out and quite badly cut and bruised. The Taunton police ambulance took the girls to the Morton Hospital and after it was ascertained that they had suffered no serious injury they were taken to the police station. The car driven by the two men which figured in the crash was abandoned in Raynham. The girls returned home on an electric car early this morning. The care bore the registration number 132,509. Because the registration numbers at police headquarters do not run as high it was necessary to*wait until the list at the State Highway Department could be secured. It is thought the two young men reside in Dorchester.THREE MEN INJUREDAS AUTO OVERTURNSmachine,' both girls being injured and taken to the Morton Hosp:tal in Taunton for treatment. They were later allowed to return to their homes. The police are looking for the two men whc figured in the affair.
