farmer is killed.Sherman, Sept 24.—Boh Edwards, about 45 years of age, a well-to-do farmer of the Preston Bend community twenty-five miles northwest of Sher-‘Inan. was shot and instantly killed shortly after midnight last night. A man telephoned the sheriff's office and this morning was brought to Sherman. He had a preliminary hear ing before Justice of the Peace Henry Wilson, who set his bond at $5,000.
