COWAN—EVERATT[ The wedding took place at Ringmer Parish Church, in England, Saturday, Oct 1,0 of Miss Eileen Peggy Everett, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Everatt of Ashton Green, Ringmer, and Gnr. William Main Cowan, a member of the Canadian Forces, eldest son of JWr and Mrs. R. Cowan, of East Coulee, Alberta, Canada.The service was conducted by the Vicar of Ringmer, the Rev. Jerom Victor, and Mr. Austin -was the organist. The bridegroom is a keen sportsman.• The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white ring velvet dress, cut on classical lines, with a fine net veil held in position by orange blossom. She also wore a pearl necklace, and carried a bouquet of red and white carnations.Mrs^ R. Parsons, the bride’s sister, vyas matron of honor, while the Misses Pearl and Sylvia Everatt, sisters of 'the bride, arid Miss’ Hazel Hemsley, were bridesmaids. Mrs. Parsohs and Miss Hemsley wore Marina blue dresses with head-dresses to tone, and the Misses Pearl and Sylvia Everatt wore pale mauve dresses with head-dresses to tone. They all carried bouquets of mauve and white chrysanthemums and wore silver bracelets, the gifts of the bridegroom. .Cpl. R. Grant was best man.About 50 guests were present at a reception at the Ringmer Parish Room, and .the honeymoon is being spent at Brighton. The bride travelled in a black and. mauve coat over a black and red dress. The couple’s, home , is to be at Ashton Green, Ringmer.
