Grace United church was the scene of a wedding, June 6, at 7 p.m. when Florence Joan, only daughter of Mrs. Reading and the late Lance-Corporal Harry Read ing, became the bride of Mr. Wil liam Younger, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Younger. Rev. W G. Martin performed the cere mony. The church, decorated with Spring flowers and ferns, was lighted by candles. Mr. Stanley Osborne played the wedding music, and during the signing of the register, Miss Sylvia Price sang I oye Thee. The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, was gown ed in an imported redingote en semble in white suede lace over bridal satin. The skirt swept into a train A spray of lily of the valley ‘rimmed the high neckline which was finished with a Queen Ann collar. Her veil of French net was held with a coronet of orange blos soms and seed pearls. She carried a sunburst bouquet of Sweetheart and Butterfly roses and lily of the valley. The best man was Mr. R. R. Younger, of Brandon, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Mr. T. Chadwick and Mr. J. Duncan. _The matron of honor was the bride’s cousin, Mrs. Winifred Chadwick, who wore pale green crocaded net over whispering taffeta. A rhinestone juliet cap held her veil. She carried a colonial bouquet of snapdragons, roses, sweet peas and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids were Mrs. F. and and Mrs. P. McCutchan. They were dressed alike in pale blue and pile rose chiffon respectively. Their gowns were made on a Grecian style with bishop sleeves, and full skirts. Their chapel veils were held with a cluster of matching flowers. They carried colonial bou qnets of roses and spring bloom. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s uncle, Mr. A. Jolloway. For traveling the bride wore a sky-blue crepe red ingote ensemble with a matching blue straw hat. She wore an orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Younger will re side in the Westhome apts.
