PECATONICA — An Illinois Commerce Commission inspect or was killed and an Elizabeth couple slightly injured in a head on collision about 2:30 p.m. Fri day on U.S. 20 at Pecatonica Corners. Killed was John Urquhart, 69, Villa Park. He was alone in his car. Driver of the other car was Raynold Meyer, 49, Elizabeth Route 2. His wife, Clare, was a passenger. The couple was taken to St. Francis Hospital, Freeport, for treatment of minor cuts and bruises. They were not hospital ized. The accident happened near the state police sub-district head quarters. Troopers said Urquhart turned his eastbound car into the path of the Meyer vehicle, headed west. Urquhart became Winnebago County’s 15th traffic fatality of 1965.
