Frances May Peel passed away at the Dr. Gendreau Memorial Home in Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba on Wednesday, April 13, 1983 at the age of 79 years. Frances Moore was born at Rapid City, Manitoba and in 1908 the family moved to the Makinak District where she received her educa tion at the Roxton School. In 1929 at Makinak she married George Lawrence Peel and they farmed in the East Bay District till 1933 when they moved to Dauphin, farming in the Paulson District. Following her hus band’s death in November of 1969 she resided on the farm till 1972 and then moved to Ste. Rose. Surviving are two sons Thomas William at Dauphin, Gordon Lawrence at Kakabeka Falls, Ontario; four daughters Shirley (Mrs. George Kilford) at Gilbert Plains, Sylvia (Mrs. Jim Thomson) at Aldergrove, an Doreen (Mrs. Hugh Henderson) at Dauphin, Vivian (Mrs. Gilles St. Hilaire) at Port Co quitlam, B.C.; one sister Edna (Mrs. Frank Haight) of Hamiota; 20 grand children and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Merle Matz, Dave West, Harry Inkster, Hilton Kilford, Wallace Camp bell, and Clark Davies. Funeral service was held on April 16, 1983 at the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel with Mr. Andrie McFadyen officiating. Interment at the Riverside Cemetery. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Service were in care of the ar rangements.
