WELLSBURG — John Smith, §8, of Sixth St., an employe of the Eagle Manufacturing Company, died early this morning at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh. He served with the Marines in World War II. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters, Mrs. Donna Ludwig of Beech Bottom, Mrs. Ruth Ann Reiter of Jacksonville, Fla., Miss Betty Smith and Miss Mary Smith, both of Phoenix; two sons, John Jr. and Edgar C., both of Wellsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Donahoe of Alabama and Mrs. Mary Branch of Pitt sburgh; and seven grand children. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 31, 1914, at Midway, Pa. Friends may call at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, afternoon Sunday; services there Monday, 2 p.m.; Rev. Mr. J. S.
