AMUSEMENT PARK AT THE DES MOINES RIVER READY. Large Crowd Took Advantage of the Opportunities Afforded There Last Sunday—Dancing Populars. The formal opening of Riveria, the new amusement park on the river west of Boone took place Sunday and a large crowd went to the resort to enjoy the boating, bathing, etc af forded there. All afternoon the row boats were rented and a long waiting list was always on hand ready to grab the boats as soon as they were returned. The motor boat took a large number of parties on excur sions up the river. In the evening the moonlight dance drew a large attendance and a good time was enjoyed by all. The pa vilion was lighted with Japanese lanterns and music for the dancers was furnished by Poole’s orchestra.
