Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Miller took the train Friday for Waldorf to make Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller a short visit. The meetings have continued ev ery evening this week, hey. Hotch kiss and Jones doins the speaking, while Mr. Palmer has had charge of the singing Mr. and Mrs. Guy Chaffee are re ceiving congratulations on the birth of their first born, a bright boy who arrived January 6. The Ladies’ Sewing society had a very pleasant meeting at Mrs. Sny der’s on Thursday of this week. Miss Maude Anthony, the teacher of the primary department, did not get back from her home near Gran ada until Thursday of this week, as she had a very severe cold. Principal W. C. Landfield and four of the young ladies from the high school, being Clara Stensrud, Winnie Rice, Tillie Corner and Ruth Miller, went to Albert Lea Friday to attend the spelling contest, which came off that evening. Henry Jacobson and his sister Miss Mary Jacobson spent the holi days at Redwood Falls with rela tives. The Congregational Sunday school elected F. M. Snyder for superintend ent and S. R. Miller for secretary last Sunday. The M. B. A. installed the follow ing officers: President, Masse Peter son, V. P., G. E. Jones; Cond., Hor ace Drake: Sec. and Treas., C. F. Leonard; Chap., Abby Olson; Sent, and watch, Willard Jones, and George Staten. The installation was held January 1.
