The Rose Funeral Home was pur chased yesterday by Amos Ques enberry. It will be operated under the name of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home. In other action yesterday, Ques enberry instituted a chancery suit to dissolve the firm of Quesenberry and Webb Funeral Home. The suit was brought against T. G. Todd, Beaver, and Eugene R. Harvey, Beckley, who control the business. Queenberry said he has sued to dissolve the firm on the grounds that the corporation was formed illegally and several practices im plicated him with the Bureau of Internal Revenue. He said his ac tion also was brought to protect his name. Quesenberry said that he and Glen Webb founded the Quesen berry and Webb Funeral Home on July 1, 1951. In November, 1953, he said, Webb sold his interests in the firm to Todd and moved to California. He said now that he has left the firm, neither of the original part ners are connected with it, and added that neither Harvey or Todd are qualified morticians nor do they hold embalmer’s licenses. The mortician claims to have originated the lower cost funeral program in Beckley and free am bulance service, which he plans to continue at the new location. He al so became prominent through sev eral court fights he initiated pro testing bans on advertising for fu neral homes and several practices which he considered unethical. Quesenberry is a native of Beck ley and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1940. He was graduated from the Renoard Embalming College, New York City, and before entering business in Beckley in 1951 he worked in some of the larger funeral homes in the Pittsburgh, Pa., area.
