PHOENIX — The Phoenix Central School Alumni Asso ciation will hold its annual banquet Saturday evening, June 22, at 6:30 in the cafe teria of the J. C. Birdlebough school, Principal James Ridge way asks that reservations be made by June 15. The Horizonettes held their final meeting of the season Wednesday at the home of their leader, Mrs. Richard Pen dergast. This was in the form of a cook-out followed by a program of games and a ball game. Attending were Patri cia Spencer, Donna House, Connie Pendergast, Betsy Smith, Bonnie Henderson, Lynne Dean, Patricia Den- Bleyker, Nancy Ritchie, Kathy Colbert and Rosemary Pender gast. The faculty of the J. C. R Birdlebough school held a cof fee hour Wednesday afternoon in the school cafeteria to honor the teachers from that school who are leaving at the end of the current term. Vin cent Castiglione, high school principal made the presenta tion of gifts from the mem bers of the faculty to Rodney Johnson, Miss Elena Vatarola, Richard Charles and Gerald Skillen. He also presented a gift to the retiring district principal, J. C. Birdlebouch. Mrs. Donald Post, Mrs. Wil liam Post and Miss Laura Post attended commencement ex ercises Sunday afternoon at State University College in Oswego where Miss Marcia Post was a member of the class. Final Convocation The final convocation of Os wego River Chapter, R.A.M., will be Thursday evening June 13 at the Masonic temple with the high priest Earl Nelson presiding. Refreshments will be served after the meeting and the chapter will recess un til Fall, Mr. and Mrs. Howard T. Dight were in Syracuse Wed nesday to attend funeral serv ices in St. Andrew of the Apostles Church for Mrs. Dight's sister-in-law, Mrs. Wil liam H. Grier. Interment was in Fulton. The Friendly Guild of the church will meet for supper Friday at 6 p. m. at the camp of Mrs. Harry Maider on the Oneida river. Mrs. Ronald Kyle’ and daughter Linda of Liverpool were guests Wednesday of Mrs. Kyle’s grandmother, Mrs. William Post. Twenty-one members of the Helping Hand Circle of the Methodist church met for a picnic supper Wednesday night at the home of Mrs. Donald Eaton. Mrs. Kenneth Ennis conducted a brief business meeting and entertainment consisted of slides taken by Mrs. Leonard Smith during her stay in Florida. The circle is now recessed until fall.
