Los Angeles, March 2 (UP) — A divinity student who said he was working his way through theology school by forging checks was under arrest today. Police took into custody the Rev. Richard Francis Macrone, 26, of Seal Beach, Calif., who said he was a Baptist minister in Sioux Falls, S. C., before coming here. He had been studying for a Cal ifornia ordination at Los Angeles Pacific college when arrested by Los Angeles detectives. Officers charged him with forg ing checks totaling $242.70.
