Burt Ros en promises that the next time he bumps into you, he’s going to punch you in the mouth! “And if it’s not me,” Burt snaps “It’s going to be my partner, David Winters. And David wears five rings on his punching hand!” Their hostility toward Roger began, Burt explains, when they produced Ann-Margaret’s first TV special. “We made the mistake, just because he was Ann’s husband, of giving Roger co-producer credit. He was a constant hin drance, always interfering and then running around trying to take credit for the show.” What really got the fellows’ dander up, according to Burt, was Roger’s interview with a magazine, saying that the sec ond that he and Ann-Margaret had to shell out some $30,000 of their money. “Baloney, that special made money, and Roger and Ann didn’t invest a cent of their own. As far as I’m concerned, damaged our reputation I just might likely sue.” Winters and Rosen tave racked up a phenomenal socce record in the year-and-a-half they’ve been a producing team. They started without penny one in their pockets, now have a staff of 30 and in the first year of partnership netted . But the boys are finding that success has its aggravations. There’s no trouble working with the glamour queens, they insist. But the husbands of those queens are another matter. On the Raquel Welch special they’ re currently preparing, which airs April 26, there’s her husband Pat Curtis to contend with. Rose Marie’s brother, a schoolteacher from Hollywood, Fla., is going to have the kids standing in line to get into his class. During his visit with his sister in Los Angeles earlier this month, he gathered himself a suitcase fully of Morcy Amsterdam gags to take back to the faculty and kids back home. Before he is back home to Australia, Tommy Leonetti told me it looks as if he'll have forget about worldwide syndication of his TV variety show that’s filmed in Sydney. The Australian government, for some reason he hasn't figured out, has a ban on televising in color. And in most other countries, it’s become next to impossible to grab an audience with black and white. Cesare Canova has entered Joe Ann Worley’s life, but that doesn’t mean that Roger Perry has struck out.
