OAK GROVE (Special) — Fu neral services for John Edward Smith, 14, were scheduled today at 3 p.m. in Primitive Baptist Church with the Revs. N. W. As bell and R. V. Kinney officiat ing. Burial was to be in Forest Cemetery under direction of Gay’s Funeral Home of Oak Grove. The youth died at a Clinton hospital Sunday after a long ill ness. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith of An gola. Survivors include eight sisters, Mrs. Mary Francis Prince, Bas trop, Mrs. Gwen Haley, Kil bourne, Mrs. Barbara Ann Da vis, Angola, Misses Sherry, She lia, Rhonda, Sandra and Chris Smith, all of Angola; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, Oak Grove; mater nal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ruffin, Oak Grove. Pallbearers were to be Ed ward Philley, Russell Stroud, Dick Olideaux, Bruce Bennett, W. McNeil and Herbert Mulkey. Mrs. Flynt ARCADIA (Special) — Funer al services for Mrs. Ora Flynt, 70, will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Briarwood Baptist Church in Rendheimer, with the Revs. H. B. Gorham and Har old Cook officiating. Burial will be in Strange Cem etery under direction of Conger Funeral Home of Arcadia. Mrs. Flynn died early Sunday in a Monroe hospital after a long illness. Survivors include six daugh ters, Mrs. T. D. Welch, West Monroe, Mrs. Leon Caskey, De Quincy, Mrs. Lee Rachel, Clar ence, Mrs. Clarence Flynn, Was co, Calif., Mrs. Huey Collins, Pineville, and Miss Jo Ann Flint West Monroe; one son, Tillery W. Flynt, Jonesboro; two sis ters, Mrs. Effie Ricker, Chest nut and Mrs. Cleevie Dee, Jones boro; two brothers, Dawson Wil liams and Eugie Williams, both of Chestnut and 11 grandchil dren. Mrs. Ira Waldroup Funeral rites for Mrs. Ira Be atrice Waldroup, 74, 3406 Rich mond Ave., Monroe, were held at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Peters Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Garrett officiating, assisted by the Rev. I. L. Yea ger. Burial, under the direction of Peters, was in the Riverview cemetery. Mrs. Waldroup died at her home early Monday following a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Monroe and a member of the Methodist Church. William A. Doncer William A. Doncer, lifelong resident of Chicago, and broth er of a Monroe man, died Mon day in a Chicago hospital fol lowing a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Nawn Funeral Home, 7909 State Road, Chicago. Burial will follow in a Chicago cemetery. Mr. Doncer, a native of Chi cago, was the brother of Ray W. Doncer, Fink’s Hide-Away Road, north of Monroe. In addition to his brother in Monroe, Mr. Doncer is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Dancer; a daughter, Cathy, both of Chicago; and three sisters, Mrs. Gert Gade, Montana, and Mrs. Ann Nowlan and Mrs. Marge Ruby, both of Chicago. H. W. Garner Jr. RAYVILLE (Special) — Fu neral services for Hugh Wayne Garner, Jr., six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh W. Gar ner of Oak Ridge, were to be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Glen Green of ficiating. Burial, under the direction of Mulhearn’s Funeral Home of Rayville, was to follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church cem etery. The child died Monday night in the Rayville clinic following an illness of one day. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Michael; two sisters, Sandra Lynn and Jane Wynette; pater nal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Waller Garner; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary L. Ma son,’ all of Oak Ridge. Pallbearers were to be Earl Hogan, W. P. Smith, Fred Parks and Clark Williams Jr.
