MONTGOMERY, Ala. Nov. 11. (AP)——Pouring of concrete on the Bee Line Highway, south of Mon gomery was to begin today. A. H. Feazin chief of the third division, has announced and as a result the highway will be closed. This is the first of the concrete, to be laid on the 31 mile stretch between Montgomery and Orion, which when completed will bring almost to completion the work of paving the route from the Tennes see Border to the Florida line. The first 15 miles of the link South of Montgomery will be the first 20 feet paving in the state, and the remainder will be the standard 18 foot roadway. Four mixing machines will be employed on the job and with all four running full time, Mr. Feagin said four miles per week could be laid. While the contracts call for com pletion by January, 1915, 1931, the contractors are given grace for each day of delay due to weather, and it was believed that it probably would be sometime later before the roadway is opened to traffic.
