Eugene Dennis, 29, Sandusky, was sentenced to one year in the Toledo workhouse by Judge John Baxter, in juvenile court today on a non-support charge. He is the first county resident to be sent to the workhouse un der the contract recently signed by the County Commission. Municipal, juvenile and common pleas courts may all send persons to the institution under the terms of the contract. Prisoners sent there work on the farms and shops during the period of their sen tence. C. O. Skidmore, also Sandusky, given hearing by Judge Baxter for non-support, is in Erieco jail pending posting of a $500 bond.
