Submitted by the Brokenhead River Community Fund Would you like to help support your com munity recreation, health, culture and educa tion services without leaving your chair? Would you like to give something back, or pay it forward, with a gift that will last forever? The Brokenhead River Community Foundation is a fund that invests money and uses only the interest to give grants to many aspects of our two communities of the Town of Beausejour and the RM of Brokenhead. A board of directors administers the fund, which now is about $380,000 and has given out almost $75,000 in grants and bursaries. We are one of 40 Manitoba rural foundations, the highest number in any province. Celebrating the third annual ‘“cBACF Awareness Week”’, Nov 8-14, we are holding the following events we hope you will attend: Monday, Nov. 9, Information Night and Annual General Meeting- come and learn more about the benefits of our local foundation. Beausejour Town Hall, 7:00 pm. Refreshments. Friday, Nov. 13, Curling Game between the Town and the RM. 7:30 pm. Blind Calcutta with terrific prizes. Come support your team! Sat. Nov. 14, BBQ Sausage on a bun and a drink for a toonie, Co-op grocery store. lla.m. -2 p.m. We appreciate donations of any size which will be tax receipted.
