_,Cohocton,* Sept.21—Henry Plover of this village was. knocked. down. by one of a. span of colts a little before 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. and. so seriously injured that he died within an hour. Mr. Plover had been driving and had unhitched the horses from the carriage, when ‘one of them t became frightened and jumped aginst hem, knocking him down’ and “stepping on his head fracturing his skull. Dr. W.T. Douglass was called, but Mr. Plover remained unconscious until he died. He was 42 ° years old and is’ sur vived by his widow and four children, Arnon D. Jones, and Lewis M. Lockwoot, awaitiig grand jury action on ees charges, quietly left the Aenros
